Asian Youth Blitz Chess 2011 : FINAL STANDINGS :Pascua tops Open 18; Wesley So 2nd! IM norm for Garcia!

Super GM Wesley So join the one day 2011 Asian Youth Blitz Chess Championship winning 4 games with two draws and 1 loss to finished 2nd behind FM Haridas Pascua who scored 6/7. So loss to Urtnasan Nasanjargal of Mongolia
and was held to  draw by Vakhidov Jahongir of Uzbekistan and FM Nguyen Van Hai of Vietnam. Three players , Liu Guanchu (CHN) ; Nasanjargal (UZB) and Gusaim Himal share 3rd - 5th place with 4.5 points.
In the Open 16 Le Tuan Minh of Vietnam finished with 6/7 for solo first , one point ahead of Fang Yan (CHN) and Aliasher Begmuratob (UZB) both with 5.0 points .Four players share 4th - 7th place; after the tie break Nima Javanbakht finished 4th ; Jan Emmanuel Garcia (5th) ; Ai Valizadeh (IRI) 6th and Viani D'Cunha Antonio (IND) 7th.



Jan Emmanuel Garcia of Ateneo de Manila got an IM norm equivalent to nine games for finishing solo first in the Open Under 16 Standard chess category of the 2011 Asian Youth Chess Championship.
