Vietnam's top junior player Tran Tuan Minh held Chinese super GM Wang Hao (2683) to a draw  and share the lead with GM Le Quang Liem and Wang Hao  after four rounds of the 7th HD Cup .Twenty one players are tied for 4th-24th places with 3.0 points including three Filipinos still unbeaten in four game. Hamed Nouri continues his winning ways this time against WGM Tingjie Lei(2480) of China. John Paul Gomez draw both  his game  with compatriot Hamed Nouri in the second round and Garcia in the 4th round

7th HDBank Cup International Open Chess 2017 - Masters : Bacolod City bet stuns GM Bogdanovich

National Master Hamed Nouri of Bacolod City upset GM Stanislav Bogdanovich of Ukraine (2602) as WGM Li Ruofan of Singapore stun GMSandro Mareco (2664) of Argentina  at the start of the 7th HD Bank Cup 2017 . It was a bad day for the Filipino players as both GM Eugene Torre and GM Rogelio Antonio Jr lost to female  opponent WGM Gulrukhbegim Tokhirjonova (2297) of Uzbekhistan and Ghate Swati (2254) of India respectively.GM Darwin Laylo defeated countryman Edmundo Gatus while IM Garcia score one against Chan Hung Lu of Vietnam.IM Oliver Dimakiling  escape being upsetas he defeated his female opponent Pham Thi Thu Hien.
