Budoso takes top prize in the Open Non-Master Chess!

Eliseo Budoso ,16 years old student of University of the East scores 5.5 points in 6 games to win the Open Non-Master Chess Tournament held in Maypajo Elementary School. Budoso with a piece up and a queening c 7 pawn offer his opponent Alvin Roma a draw. Budoso won the top prize of P4,000.OO . Michael Mallari took the runner up honor and the P2,000.00 cash prize with 5 points ,the same score of Jerald Negrosa who finished 3rd with the P1,000.00 prize.Mallari won the tie break by the winner over the other . National Arbiter Ernie Baltazar supervised the event.
