Jude Cereno emerged the champion on a tie break after the final round of the 5th CEFAG-PBCA
held in Waltermart,Sucat,Paranaque city,February 18,2018. Malik Faizhal Gumama share the top spot after both scores 5/5 points in the 5 round Swiss System and each player had five (5) minutes to end the game.Special prizes were given to the following category : Top elementary goes to Josh Edmar Castro of Cavite; Top lady to Phoebe Bautista of Saint Marys Academy in Pasay, Mikhail Laoagan top college .Venz Dwight Kwan of University of Makati cop the top senior high division while Jose Daniel Abucejo of Perpetual Help College(Las Pinas) is the top High School.The tournament attracted a total of 57 participants in a tense but friendly competition supervised by National Arbiter Ernie Baltazar of Philippine Blitz Chess Association while CEFAG president Boyet Tardecilla is the Tournament Director.
