Grade 7 student Anatoly Pascua of F.G.Calderon High School won the 2013 Manila-DCS Division Meet High School Boys Division, scoring 4.5 points in 5 games. Pascua defeated defending champion John Edaguio of Nolasco High School , Jade Agustin of Cayetano Arellano High School , Jonel Hebres of District IV and John Arnold Dela Cruz of District V. His game against Mario Victorio Berenia ends in a draw. Berena placed solo second while Jade Agustin finished 3rd. Pascua will represent Manila -DCS in the coming 2013 Palarong Maynila playing Board 1.
In the play -off for the other slot; Board 4 champion Brixter Kim Duenas of F.G.Calderon oust board 1 runner-up Mario Victorio Berena while Eliseo Budoso of J.P Laurel High School defeated board 3 champion Kobe Allen Cruz of C Arellano High School.
Budoso escape with a victory against Duenas in their knock out game and will team up with Anatoly Pascua in the Palarong Maynila set this coming November.
