Aeroflot World Blitz Championship Qualifying : 5 th place finished for Wesley So!! Mamedyarov clinch title .
Wesley So of the Philippines score a total of 13 points out of 18 on six wins 3 draws and no loss to finished a strong fifth at the end of the World Blitz Chess Qualifying Tournament held February 17 at complex "Izmailovo". So defeated 2011 Aeroflot champion GM Le Quang Liem 1.5: 0.5; GM Ian Nepomniachtchi (2733) of Russia 1.5 : 0.5 ;

Aeroflot 2011 Final Standings: Back to back title for Le Quang Liem !; Philippine's Darwin Laylo 2nd over-all in Group "B"
Philippines IM Richard Bitoon; IM Oliver Dimakiling and GM Darwin Laylo, GM Laylo increased his Fide rating by 20 points with a 7/9 performance .Laylo finished 2nd over all.IM Richard Bitoon scored a respectable 5.5/9 to finished in 25th place. Its a 50% performance for IM Oliver Dimakiling as he finished with 4.5 points for 52nd place.

Aeroflot Round 8: Cheperinov outplayed Le Quang Liem; join his victim for the lead!
Ivan Cheperinov of Bulgaria ended Le Quang Liem unbeaten record,winning a turbulent Classical Kings Indian in 45 moves. Le Quang Liem playing aggressively open up his king side playing g4 on the 11th move, Le was already quality up on the 23rd moves and poised for another win ,until Cheperinov launch a counter attack on the king side.The hard earned triumphed by Cheperinov vaulted him into the lead
