Kevin Baltazar wins 2016 Caloocan City Fiesta Chess championship!
The 2016 Caloocan City Fiesta Chess Tournament of Barangay 12 Dagat-Dagatan ,Caloocan City took place at the rooftop of the Barangay 12 Hall at Bangayngay Street Block 33 on 21st February 2016.
The event was organized by the Barangay 12 council under Punong Barangay Alfredo P Dacles in collaboration with the Philippine Blitz Chess Association in a Round-Robin system among the top 8 finalist with a rapid chess format.

The tournament winner is Kevin Baltazar from Block 33 , who scored a perfect 7 out of 7 scores 2.5 points ahead of Joyce Polon.
The 3rd place was taken by 70 years old Manny Viduya while Sammy Benitez finished 4th place, Marc Baltazar defeated Joyce Polon and Rod Bello to place 6th . Christian Dela Cruz 4th placer last year dropped to 5th place while Rod Bello took 7th place.
Punong Barangay Alfredo Dacles and Lupon Andy Novicio awards the cash prizes to the winners, Natrional Arbiter Ernie Baltazar of the Philippine Blitz Chess Association supervised the one-day event.
