Sixth FIDE Women Grand Prix Round 2: Dzagnidze,Danielian shares lead

Nana Dzagnidze of Georgia defeated IM Bathkhuyag Munguntuul of Mongolia in 51 moves of an English Opening to gain a share of the lead with GM Elina Danielian of Armenia who beat Maia Chiburdanidze in 74 moves of a Queens Indian Defense.
Both now have two points after two rounds in this 11 round Robin tournament held in Doha, Qatar. Top seed Humpy Koneru of India teach IM Martha Ferro a lesson in Benko gambit winning in only 37 moves. Ferro used the Benko gambit but in the end it was the gambit pawn that decided the game as Koneru's produce a passed pawn at b7 supported  by a Rook and a Bishop . Sweden's Pia Cramling 2nd straight draw this time against Zhu Chen of host Qatar ,lasting 39 moves of a Nimzo-Indian defense put her in a tie for 3rd to 9th place with 1.0 point.In other games GM Antoaneta Stefanova of Bulgaria downed IM Lilit Mkrtchian of Amenia in 79 moves of a Gruenfeld Defense while Marie Sebag 's queen side attack proved stronger than the kingside attack of Xu Yuhua of China winning in 27 moves in a Sicilian defense Najdorf variation.
