7 teams share first after two rounds in 1st PhilChek Rapid Chess Team Tournament

Top seed First Pioneer Distribution,College of Saint Benilde;The Incredibear;Sislyn & Mae Laundry;Stolich ;Deeco Engineering and Mkati Chess Club score their second straight victory to share first place after two rounds of yht 1st PhilCheK Rapid Chess Team Tournament held in the Pavillon Mall,Binan,Laguna.
First Pioneer blanks Don Galo Chess Club 4-0 .NM David Elorta defeated NM Andrew Vasquez in an exciting game at board 1.Edsel Montoya,Gary Garcia and Jerry Areque won against their respective opponents for the shotout victory. Stolich edges Blue Eagles team "A" 2.5: 1.5 . Eagles top board player Alcon John Datu defeated NM Julius Sinangote for the Eagles only win.Earlier Datu defeated GM John Paul Gomez of Binan in round 1.Stolich relied on victory by veteran Roberto Biron and Macapagal Paguital on Board 2 nd Board 3.Board 4 match between Emmanuel Plan and Esmail Abbas ended in a draw. IM Richard Bitoon and Roel Abelgas defeated Emmanuel Emperado and Franz Grafi on the upper board while Gary Legaspi held higher ranked Renier Labay into a draw for Deeco's Engineering 2.5: 1.5 triumphed against De la Salle University men's team.MJ Turqueza defeated Richie Jocson for La Salles only win.
The Incredibear's NM Deniel Causo and Ryan Dungca score their second straight victory while Sherwin Tiu defeated Nixon Curioso on Board 4 for their 3:1 victory.
