2011 Asian Cities Chess Championship Round 2 : Palembang ,Indonesia upset all GM Tagaytay City,Philippine team.
Palembang,Indonesia scored the first major, major upset in the Asian Cities Chess Championship winning against the second seed Tagaytay City 2.5: 1.5 in round 2.

Top seed Shi Jiazhuang won against Bangalore,India 3: 1. Astana blanks Baghdad,Iraq 4: 0. Tehran,Iran defeated Yangon 3.5 : 0.5 while host Jakarta score a 3: 1 victory over Sydney,Australia. Abu Dhabi who won by default in the 1st round won against Kathmandu,Nepal 3.5 : 0.5
