2011 Asian Cities Chess Championship Round 4: Top seed battle for the lead !! Indonesian teams shows might




Top seed Shi Jiazhuang City  relied again on their lower board to edge fourth seed Tehran ,Iran 2.5 : 1.5 while Astana dealt Tagaytay City their second loss 2.5 : 1.5 .
Tehran's Ehsan Ghaem Maghami streaked to his fourth consecutive victory when he beat Yu Yangyi on board 1 . Wesley So's victory against GM Murtas Kazgaleyev and GM Paul Gomez draw against Kotsur Pavel came to nothing when GM Rogelio Antonio and GM Darwin Laylo lost to their lower rated or under rated opponents .Antonio (2589) lost to Rinat Jumabayev (2562) while Laylo (2516) lost to Anuar Ismagambetov (2496).

The Indonesian finally felt its presence as all four teams won their matches. Jakarta ; Palembang and Tarakan won their respective matches against Yangon ; Abu Dhabi ; and Baghdad and now shares 3rd - 6th place with Tehran with 6 match points.    Indonesia's fourth team Pekanbaru edged Hongkong 2.5:1.5 and moves up to solo 17th place with 3 match points.
