2011 Asian Cities Chess Round 8: Shi Jiazhuang clinch Asian Cities Chess Championship !! Astana; second

Shi Jianzhuang defeated Palembang 3.5: 0.5 in the eight round to clinch the 2011 Asian Chess Team Championship with still one round remaining.
Yu Yangyi ; Li Chao and Wan Yunguo give Shi Jianzhuang a two point lead over Astana. Pavel Kotsur and Kirill Kuderinov delivered the wins for Astana against Bangalore 2.5 : 1.5 to maintain its hold on second place with 14 match points , two points over Tehran and 4 points over Tagaytay City. Tehran and Tagaytay battle for third place in Thursday final round with Tehran needing only a 2:2 draw to formally take 3rd place. Host Jakarta and Palembang takes on Erdenet and Sharjah respectively both needing  a win to make it to the top five.
